May. 28th, 2004 01:17 pmBlaaargh, today already I've animated something with the starting and ending poses switched, and I've animated something that the outsourcers already did. Unknown whether this is due to me being generally fried from crunchweeks/househunting, or whether my brain had decided that I didn't need those details, and supplied some exciting Sugarplastic lyrics instead.
I would like to go home now.
Samurai Champloo's first episode was very lovable. I actually was a little put off by the scratch-wipes, but I'm easily disoriented. I guess it's a useful 'WE ARE PLAYING FAST AND LOOSE WITH TIME' signifier, and perhaps not even one of the worse ones of those. I look forward to more episodes, and the sound of legions of slash writers converging on the property. (Although, every time I see one of these Two Guys anime, I sort of hope for a mainstream (insofar as anime is mainstream at all here) gays-can-be-badass-too leap forward. Maybe the anime world would rather do it by degrees, which is okay.)
