Sep. 12th, 2005 09:36 amThis little story is goofy as all get out, but if you make it about to chapter nine, you'll get to the salient bits. It's about a programmer transported to Standard Fantasy Land (with the slight fillip of magic being very easily detectable, and therefore very sparingly used... not that that's THAT* hard to find), and who revolutionises the use of magic via his programming mindset. It's just a cute concept really. The idea of the character being a magic user/programmer instead of a magician, as such (much is made of him having no actual magic in him; as I suppose one who uses any tool does not have to contain that tool) is a fun one, although I'm not entirely sure of the mechanics.
