I just realised that a couple of folders of old emails didn't make it over from Bee House, and so when I remedied this I happened upon this email-survey from 2001 that a friend of mine sent me. Some of the info is out of date, but it's pretty amusing, so who cares. I used to put so much effort into things like this. I even edited the intro. I like to think that at least some of the world got spammed with my version.

I've just roasted some almonds, and they're sitting here in a bowl next to me and making little crackling sounds as they cool down. It's pretty neat. I sort of wish I'd thought to look up how to coat them in that sugary stuff that's on the ones you buy from carts in cities.

Unpleasant will instantly be able to spot why I like this band. At least, I like the singer.

Frivolity aside, if they'd cut down on the generally large amount of background accompaniment and go more the Tom Waits route, I would be pretty grateful.
[Edit] Oh, they did, it's just that it took them until this year's album to do so. Well, good! (For clarity, dude doesn't hardly ever sound anything like Tom Waits. I just hope I'll find some more songs where he does.)

This is what the new Alex Foundation shirts look like. If you should like one, you can order one from the same old place (just comment that you want one of the new shirts instead of the Hatchday one).
