I never actually saw Idiocracy, but was leery of it because the premise sounds like it's basically that of Cyril Kornbluth's classic story "The Marching Morons", an excellently-written tale revolving around a hideous wrong-idea-that-appeals-to-you that bright misfit kids keep rediscovering: oh noes, dumb people are having more babies than smart ones and that's why everyone is getting dumber than me! Stern, authoritative Men of Science should have intervened!
