Oh Mummy

Doctor Who: Pyramids of Mars
This four-parter had some fun stuff, including a couple of badass costumes for the villains, and a disco sarcophagus. Robot mummies (bearing slight resemblance to Amazo) stumped around in broad daylight, trying not to look embarrassed. It was good.

PS: This video is totally great.

I love that episode. I don't even love Dr. Who very much. It's corny as hell, often dull, and sort of too high on the Nerd Canon for me to want to love it. But that episode rules. DISCO SARCOPHAGUS!

I also love that episode, although Doctor Who is clearly not too nerdy for me.

How on earth can you go wrong with a DISCO SARCOPHAGUS? I mean, really.

i think that a lack of disco in the sarcophagus is what brought about the collapse of the ancient egyptian civilisation.

I've never seen the episode, but the illustration reminds me of the Breen from ST:TNG and DS9.

Though the Breen helmet looks more like K9's head.

Completely correct, though I always thought it looked like Leia's look in her initial Jabba's Lair appearance.

Seriously all I remember about this episode is robot mummies and then they go to Mars for some reason and, possibly, things blow up, but that last bit is probably just an educated guess. I should see it again.

It had Sutekh, who as Doctor Who villains go was fairly scary.

We're slowly trying to digest the classic Who. Lotsa cardboard set pieces so far, hooray! When did they invest in a second camera lens? So far we've just got midrange shots...
