It is the east, and... Colonel Sanders...
Apr. 8th, 2006 07:56 pmRather enjoyable modern + historical japanese art. Mcdonald's. Kitty-chan. And, really, the best.
Oh, and I just found these two. Pretty much can't go wrong.
Okay, I take it back, this painting is the pinnacle. PINNACLE!!

No one gets away / Until the whippet
Jan. 24th, 2006 10:00 pmTo further my unkillable goal of being a crazy pet portraitist, I've painted some pets. Except actually it was an exercise that happened to do a bit of good, in that Travis and Kelli's real estate agent lady has some whippets, and they wanted to give her a present for being awesome. So, I came barrelling in and was all I WILL PAINT PUPPYDOGS and they said Okay, just please don't touch us, and now I'm done!
Whippet the First, whippet the second.
And, in case you'd lost all respect for me, and hadn't seen this painting, here's my watercolor of a radiolarian.

I've been painting a bit, thanks to Kelli's good influence. Painty paint-paint! Watercolors are more fun than I remembered them being.

Oct. 21st, 2005 01:54 pmGood news, everyone! Someone else entirely is making a Black and White (manga, not the game) movie. I saw a trailer, as is mentioned in the comments, a while ago, and it definitely had problems (although I can't much remember why now, I suspect that they had to do with the aggressively all-cg style). Let us hope that they are no more.
I believe Matsumoto was educated in France, which makes it understandable why his art is so excellently styled. And he's got something else out! I didn't even know!
