I've been excessively music-headed lately for some reason, so I decided to murder a meme. Although this one is kind of needlessly distilled; I feel like I left way too much out. Via schwa, though.

1. Of all the bands/artists in your cd/record collection, which one do you own the most albums by?

Somehow I have about a trillion Echo and the Bunnymen albums. If we're talking about physical cds, though, I think it's either YMO or Warren Zevon.

2. What was the last song you listened to?

Social Distortion - Sick Boy

3. What's in your CD player right now?

CD player? Sheez. I don't even know where one is. I guess the one in the car has a mix JP made.

4. What song would you say sums you up?

Hi-Posi - Theme of a Duck
(Sometimes I like to kid around about The Polysics' Married to a Frenchman, but it's not a very good song.)

5. What's your favorite local band/group?

If I can claim the Talking Heads, since Providence is fairly close, then I will. Otherwise, uh, Harry and the Potters? My old coworker's band Sparkle, that I know nothing about? The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are okay. The Cars are good.

6. What was the last show you attended?

Aquabats.

7. What was the greatest show you've ever been to?

I don't know. They Might Be Giants? The time they had puppets.

8. What's the shittiest show you've ever been to?

Beats me.

9. What band do you love musically but hate the members of?

I don't usually have this problem.

10. What's the most musically involved you have ever been?

I played the flute in junior high, and was in chorus in high school.

11. What show are you looking forward to?

None, really. Sorry.

12. What is your favorite band t-shirt?

The TMBG Indestructible Object shirt is pretty cool. I also like the 'I'm a winner' Aquabats one, although that fucker needs hemming before I can wear it.

13. What musician would you like to hang out with for a day?

Lonnie Donegan and his Skiffle Group! Yoko Kanno! Alex H is a realistic one, because he's just some mashup guy.

14. What was your coolest "rock star" moment?

That time when we came back to town and our group was all 'HIERONYMOUS VOSSS!' and we all flashed the sign and the townspeople were wearing their puppy hats and we were all so cool.

In the non d&d world, I guess that time I met Chris Crawford. Haw haw.

OH, WAIT, there's also that time we saw Ric Ocasek in the Harvard Natural History Museum. That was great.

Dunno, I somehow haven't ever been to one.

Is this like, get back together? Because then YMO.

Uh, I have a Devo video collection, a Bauhaus concert video, 200 Motels, and Gigantic. Oh, and the Michel Gondry video collection, and the Anton Corbijn one. And the Beastie Boys set. And the Aquabats 'Serious Awesomeness' dvd. More than I thought, I guess.

22. How many concerts/shows have you been to, total?

I don't know. Not that many.

23. Who have you seen the most live?

They Might Be Giants.

24. What is your favorite movie soundtrack?

Ravenous (Damon Albarn and Michael Nyman, for god's sake). Also awesome are The Conversation, The Triplets of Belleville, Repo Man, and True Stories.

25. What was your last musical "phase" before you wisened up?

I guess most of high school where I just listened to Firesign Theatre and Weird Al.

26. What music is your "guilty pleasure" music that you don't often admit to liking?

I don't much think that way. If I suck, I suck OUT LOUD. Baybee. I do have a lot of mindless korean pop that nobody ever likes, though. And a couple of bands I like have stupid names, if that counts.

27. What album have you purchased the most copies of in your lifetime?

Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage, I guess. I had that on cassette and then on cd.

28. Who is your favorite musician?

Leave me alone. I like a lot of things.
