Dang it, the first review of Spidey 3 I've seen yet, and it's pretty much exactly what I feared: too many villains, with no focus given to anyone. SIGH.
The preview looked stuh-oopid, apart from like two isolated shots, but I wanted to be all open-minded and not judge it by its probably-misleading trailer. FOOLISH ME.
What? God doesn't kill Spiderman at the request of Eddie Brock?
I think that's probably the best trailer moment I've had in a long time and it just kills me (thanks, god) that the movie might not be a 2 hour version of that. I mean, it has Thomas Church in it, for pete's sake. It Should Work. Right?
Oh, so true. That was definitely up there. Maybe the request, and then a cut to Mr. Spiderman being hit by lightning for like a minute. Then loop back to the request, maybe with occasional breaks for other good actors to make the 'OK' hand signal at the sky.
