Just saw the PugChick again. Without her Pug, but she was hurrying through the lunchlines with a harried look on her face, so I naturally assumed that she was snatching some quick sustenance for herself. Apparently the time apart from one's Pug is fairly awful, although it doesn't escalate to heroin-withdrawal magnitude for a few days. She looked at me a little funny, though. I hope she doesn't recognise me from that time last week when I saw her and the other Pug-Ridden chanting. It's supposed to be private.

Our programmer is back from his long illness today. You can see the Pug-marks on his arm, if you look closely enough. I guess the fact that he made it through the withdrawal (plenty of methadone, I hear) is heartening. I hope he doesn't turn around and get sucked in again, though. Some people just have a weakness for the Pugs, and that seems to be that.

Oh, our lead artist has _finally_ been accommodated in the office; his door had to be recut. It's the horns. And aeron delivered their custom chair, which is seriously as tall as I am. I think we could have paid off our mortgage with what that cost. And my office-neighbor, he's had his tank for a couple of months now. I think I've finally learned to tune out his splashing around in there. What they made for his input device is fairly impressive, but it's a proprietary design. Not like nobody else has made the things, but ours is better neurally linked.

I had an aquatic cow orker back in Chicago. Nice guy, but he wasn't any fun to invite out to the pub after work. I thought I was a bad drunk, but I guess there isn't much metabolic oomph to deal with fermented substances in their guts.
