If pirate bay fails you, TVtorrents (http://www.tvtorrents.com/) is a good backup... it requires free registration but the torrents are generally reliable and high quality.

...Note, though, my reaction to it was mostly on the basis of irritation with the broad comic portrayal of the disguised baddies; the human characters in it were generally well-portrayed, and I seem to be one of the few people who liked the pig subplot. Also, UNIT.

I thought the fart jokes were very close to the edge of too much, but the constant giggling and wackiness were really amusing to me. I actually suspect that I'll like it less now that the aliens are running around in their Men In Black (TM) bodies and causing havoc.
I quite enjoyed the pig bit; I'd like to see more of that. Also the way his 'awfulness' was built up, because of previous show behavior I had no idea whether tongue was in cheek or not, which is good! Writer is taking advantage of the format correctly, it seems.

I think they did the best job yet with both pacing and character development. The Doctor, Rose, Rose's mum and her boyfriend all got a bit of time to show what they were going through, as opposed to the second episode where Rose basically had nothing to do besides get saved by the Doctor, and the third where the clairvoyant girl who ends up [SPOILER] but isn't sufficiently developed for us to care about what happens to her.

I'm not sure why they thought the farting aliens were so hilarious, but we weren't subjected to too much of them before they did the forehead zipper thing.

Man, that's good to hear, even though I've liked the first three (the third one not as much).

I'm actually trying to watch these on the telly, only downloading them if I miss them, but I guess you don't have that option. Suckers.

As I mentioned in my own blog, I was happiest with the fact that it ended with a cliffhanger. As far as I'm concerned, that's central to the whole Doctor Who experience. The re-introduction of UNIT was also a nice nostalgic touch, even if it were only really mentioned in passing.

I have to wonder, though: what's the show like if you're British? I don't think I'd care too much for a new Star Trek series featuring Britany Spears. But despite teen-pop being anathema to me, Billie Piper seems pretty good.
