Neato amygdala news: here. Also introduced me to Williams Syndrome, which is essentially the opposite of Asperger syndrome (to the point that Williams syndrome is usually associated with some degree of retardation).
WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? My psychologist and I often have to take a break when the topic of high-functioning autism comes up because I can't help saying "mmm, I could sure go for an asperger."
My labmate's brother has William's Syndrome. He chats with me quite often, and is pretty lucid. He likes to learn a lot about animals, but I can't get him to look at wikipedia no matter how I try.

I have not experienced that in any way, at least not yet. He had quite a thing for hugging people, though. He needed to be told that not everyone is so into that.
